Prompt: "give me the benchmark of ..."
Working on a medical process I needed to validate the results shown by process mining with a benchmark.
I asked Perplexity to suggest KPIs related to a specific activity. The prompt was "show benchmarks of emergency room processes KPIs". I got an interesting list of items that are benchmarked. A partial list was:
Patients seen and discharged within X hours: This KPI measures the efficiency of the ER in terms of patient throughput and is often set according to the hospital's own standards
Patients admitted from ED: The rate at which patients are admitted to the hospital from the ER can indicate the severity of conditions being treated and the efficiency of the admission process
Time to treatment: This KPI measures the time from patient arrival to the initiation of treatment, which is critical for patient outcomes, especially in acute conditions.
I was looking for the data, not the areas. I prompted the iteration "give me the benchmark of Patients seen and discharged within X hours" and, now yes:
"For discharges, the median ED discharged 93.0% of its patients within 6 hours and 86.8% of its patients within 4 hours. A total of 79.0% of EDs discharged at least 90% of their patients within 6 hours, but only 41.1% of EDs discharged at least 90% of their patients within 4 hour."
Obviously, accompanied by sources. A quick mechanism for preparing reports, project bids, etc.
